Wash Cast tells you which day is best to wash your car. This policy explains exactly what the app collects, why, and who it is shared with. It covers the Wash Cast iOS app and washcastapp.com.

One exception, on the website only: washcastapp.com uses Google Analytics to count visits. The iOS app contains no analytics of any kind.
Wash Cast runs on Amazon Web Services (sign-in, database, server functions, hosting, email delivery). To produce a forecast, approximate coordinates are sent to these services:
These receive location coordinates only. They are not given your email address, your wash history, or anything else that identifies you.
Wash Cast asks for location only while you are using the app. It never requests background or always-on location access. You can decline, or revoke access later in iOS Settings — the app still works, and you can search by entering a location yourself.
You can delete your account from inside the app: Profile → Delete account. This permanently removes your sign-in credentials and cannot be undone.
To have all associated records erased as well, email david@dkent2000.com from your account address and we will remove them.
Your account and wash history are kept until you delete them. Logs used to run and secure the service are kept for a short period and then discarded.
Wash Cast is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email david@dkent2000.com and we will respond within 30 days.
If this policy changes materially we will update the date above and note the change in the app.
